Moorcroft

Moorcroft launched their first pieces of fine art pottery in 1897 as designed by William Moorcroft, a graduate of what is now the Royal College of Art in London.

The new art pottery line received an abundance of orders right from the outset by such prestigious stores as Liberty of London, Harrods and Tiffany & Co. in New York.

Early Moorcroft pieces are greatly prized by renowned auction houses across the world and regularly fetch high prices. For more than a century on to today, Moorcroft's has maintained a reputation for being artistically remarkable and a quality investment.

After winning many gold medals and prestigious international awards, Moorcroft was appointed ‘Potters to H. M. The Queen’ in 1928. It was an honour William proudly accepted on behalf of his company.
